Springfield XD-S Owners: Pocket Holster of Choice? (Posted on 2/21/13 at 2:36 pm)
Picking mine up in the next week or so to use as my primary CC- looking for some recommendations from XD-S owners on a good pocket holster with a smooth draw.

I have an XDs and this isn't a pocket carry pistol. These pistols are small especially for a .45. However, it is too big for pocket carry. For pocket carry you should look into a LCP or something in that size. The XDs will print to much in a pocket and you would be able to see it in a pocket.

Agreed.
I have yet to find a subcompact in a larger caliber than 380 that can be comfortably be carried in any pocket. My Kahr CM9 is very small, but it's only good for fitting in a jacket pocket. My dad's Kahr P380 is the same size as an LCP, and THAT gun is small enough for pockets.
The XDs is ideally an IWB gun. Get a good holster and you will completely forget it's there.

Minotaur MTAC Holster This is what I will be carrying my xds in when I get it. I carry my XD and it is extremely comfortable for that gun. Will be a lot more comfortable with the low profile xds for sure

I don't own an XD-s (but want one!) I do carry my little Kel-tec 9 in a Galco for Springfield XD kydex IWB holster and it snaps right in.. (just doesn't match the print, but still fits it tight) It is comfortable enough that I forget I'm wearing it.
