Anyone know if Nola is expected to pitch Thursday given the Thurs-Saturday series? Not sure if they want to keep him on his full rest and pitch him Friday.

This early in the season after pitching less than 80 pitches I'd imagine he would be okay going Thursday.

they havent announced it but my guess is he will pitch thursday.

however, there is a lot of rain in the forecast so no one may be pitching thursday. the forecast probably is why they havent made an annoucement yet.

I would assume he would go on Thursday. It is much easier to bump everyone up one day as opposed to moving some pitchers around multiple days. They will treat it just like they do the latter part of the SEC schedule.

I personally don't want him pitching Thursday, but it appears everyone else has no problem with it. I just want to protect our top two arms early in the season in games we can win otherwise and keep these guys on the regular schedule.

I read that Nola was on a 70 pitch count on Friday but PM extended him to 84.

With Eades' arm fatigue last season, I'm just a little weary of it I guess.

For sure, but it isn't like this is "extra" work. It is just bumping them up a day. They should all be able to throw on 6 days rest with ease.

He only threw about 80 pitches Friday. He will be fine to go Thursday. I agree I prefer bumping everyone up one day. Just get one less day of work in the middle of the week to rest a little. He will be fine as will the other starters.

With rain threat my guess to keep him on schedule he will end up going on Fri no matter what against SLU or possibly BYU Fri if they play a DH

Well if they were worried about keeping Nola and Eades on their regular days to keep them in their regular routines they would go with a committee on Thursday night and keep Nola on Friday and Eades on Saturday. I don't think this will happen. I think everyone will move up a day and I think that Bonvillain will start on Saturday - since Coleman pointed out that we don't play Sunday

Thanks for the correction. I obviously meant Thursday for Bonvillain.

Sonofabitch.

I meant I think he will pitch on Saturday.

I was trying to give a hypothetical of who would possibly pitch on Thursday if it wasn't Nola since someone asked that.

My guess for the weekend rotation, as I originally stated: Nola Th, Eades Fr, Bonvillain Sa.
