I think the window is closing rapidly. The package was approximately $1 bn last time, but the promotors wanted 200+ dates, a double live album AND DVD to come from it. I don't know how committed they are, but I strongly suspect this will be the last roundup - the real "Coda", if you will. They would almost have to start preparing now if they wanted to get going by next Spring - they have to decide what songs to play, any "special guests", start rehearsing (especially Jimmy), etc.

It's not Led Zeppelin without Bonzo.

But I would pay to see Plant, Page and JPJ rock out.

200 dates would be way too much. If they were to do this, it should be very limited. Something like 10-15 shows in Europe and 15-20 in the US.

I'd be shocked if they didn't do at least a half dozen shows in Asia and, at least a few in South America.

Besides, in for a penny, in for a pound - $1 billion split 3 ways (minus what they pay Jason), is serious scrilla.

That fortuitous as I've specifically laid aside eleventy billion dollars for just this thing!

As someone (and I am sure I am not alone here), who has followed Robert Plant's love-hate relationship with Zeppelin over the years, that is not what he said. If you look at the article, he doesn't say "Yes, I will do a Zeppelin reunion tour in 2014." He said he wasn't the only one to blame for the inactivity and that he wasn't doing anything in 2014. With Plant, that is far from a firm commitment!

Over the years he has intentionally spoken with ambiguity and has thrown around little teasers here and there that only served to rile up the masses. Until I hear it actually announced (and possibly until the first note is played), I will hold some skepticism.

With all that having been said, I REALLY want to see this happen!

Please god no. The 2007 performance was terrible. Neither Plant nor Page can perform anywhere close to up to snuff, and certain songs are so dated they should never be performed again. Burn all your violin bows, Jimmy.

I was kind of under the impression that JPJ is "done" with LZ. Pretty sure he's making better music with Them Crooked Vultures than anything LZ could create at this point in their collective careers.

Too late. Move on.

That was a great album they put out in 2009... haven't heard that they will be doing anything again, though.

Well, Josh Homme is working on the new QOTSA album, then I think they are expected to make another TCV album.

Rumors have been ramping up since mid-December.

I love Zep but the violin thing was also stupid and gimmicky,IMO. It sounded like shite.

Pete Townshend feedback > Jimmy Page violin bow

You serious Clark??? This has been a staple of Zeppelin shows for years and is one of the reasons Jimmy Page is considered one of the most influential and creative guitarists ever...

It's amazing that critics worldwide praised the O2 show, the DVD/CD has sold millions of copies, but people on TD know WAY more...

Uh,no. Jimmy Page was an insanely talented guitarist, but that violin bull shite had nothing to do with it. His studio work (which also showed off his producing skills) is vastly better than his live catalogue.

I also hesitate to call him creative since so many of Zeppelin's songs were straight rip-offs of earlier blues tunes.
