Ok, so I've never been to the district courthouse, I know the building. It says to pay the ticket at Room 2701, anyone ever been? Could you give some details and what to expect?

In BR, just call and pay the damn ticket if you don't want to fight it

Ever heard of mailing it in? Now you have to grease the brown eye to avoid rectal bleeding when you get raped.

I cant, they never answer the phone. I cant pay it online either. The site says i have to scan the ticket and upload it in order to pay it. When i click on the link to upload it, it redirects me to a non working site. Now i have no choice but to drive there. They dont even list a physical address on their site to drive to.

Uh....The address is probably the courthouse. Women at the courthouse don't like working at all. That being said, I have paid probably 5 tickets on the phone. Never done one online
Edited: thought you were the BR guy
Hahnville courthouse is on Google maps. IIRC, it wasn't the right address. I will try and remember where it was, but I think it was just a little house looking building. That is either St James or St John. I've gotten too many tickets to remember every one

Hired a lawyer for the first time ever last week. $200, case dismissed, didn't have to go to court at all, ticket would have been $260. Never, ever, just paying the ticket again.

Just plead no contest. Usually they will reduce it a little.

In BR the moving violations are $135 and IIRC, non-moving is like $95. I actually have fun going and arguing with prosecutors. Got off of one ticket by telling the prosecutor that I was going to win, stating how I was gonna win, and saying that everyone would use the same defense as me if I went up on the stand. He just said "fine, get out of here" and dismissed the charges
Got out of a drunk in public by arguing that outside of a gas station wasn't public property. Brought some statute bs and got it dropped. Good learning experience of how the judicial system works

honestly, I haven't paid one in BR in years, but they are pretty much all the same...just call first to find out how much to bring and the form of payments accepted, as sometimes they are a little picky and you damn sure don't want to be late because you had cash and needed a money order or some such shite as that...
otherwise, they take ticket payments all day every day, so don't go in feeling like you are gonna be spanked or anything like that...basically just the cost of driving...

I tried paying it online, but the ebrso website keeps saying my payment information is fricked up, which its not. So I just decided to go downtown, since I'd be down their for school (LSU) anyway...

Prayers sent. Traffic court sucks and could eat up multiple hours of your day.
My experience was kind of like waiting at the DMV, except I was a lot more nervous because the end result of the DMV is a lot better than the end result of court.
eta: If possible, talk to the DA and see about getting it reduced. At the very least it is worth a shot.

Or mail a certified funds check.

Be aware. District Courts are closed for Presidents Day tomorrow. I would probably call and make sure you aren't wasting a trip down there.

2nd floor. There is a window. Being cash or cashiers check. Not a big deal and you have to go in person if it is this close to court date.

You can use a debit card at the BR courthouse. You will have to go to court if you hadn't paid it in time. There are about 100 people each day of traffic court. If you want to fight it, they set a trial date and expect to be in court that day until at least 3pm. Talk to the prosecutor and tell them you want to do whatever about it and they should cut a deal with you. Tell them some crap about non-moving and your insurance.
Do not go looking to talk to the DA. He has a lot better things to do than worry about you not using your blinker. Talk to the prosecutor because he will be the one actually in court
Eta: The room for traffic court is right in at your 11 o'clock once you walk in. On the left of the elevators. There will be a big crowd of people. Go in the courthouse and "sign in" which means just tell them that you are there
