Just curious what kind of team Mandeville is supposed to have this year? Holy Cross knocked them around pretty good yesterday in a three-inning scrimmage, 14-1...and did the same thing to Hammond by the same score.

I would be interested to see what people think the 6-5A district looks like this year.
Since no one gets on NOLA forums anymore

Fountainbleau usually has a pretty solid team

Think they are probably a year away. They aren't a young team, but a lot of their talent is young. They may be thin at pitching, but they generally overachieve with the talent they have.

I don't know anything about this year's crop, but the Northshore district usually has a few solid teams each year with Mandeville, Fontainebleau, St. Paul's, Northshore and Covington.

In MHS sports they went from a lot of talent and no coaching to not much talent and really good coaching

Definitely think their Baseball coaching is a significant upgrade. I think their Freshman and sophomore classes have some talent and could be a team to reckon with if they can buy in to the coaching philosophy.

i hate to say it but HC might be the best team in the state this year... they got to the 4A title last year with a young team

good thing they're not on our schedule because we suck

Damn, owl, I had to read your post a couple of times...have never seen you compliment HC in the past couple of years. We have your coaches son starting for us and he can crush the ball!

Yep, he is the starting 1B and backup catcher...hit a grand slam last week at Miley vs Curtis and hit a couple long outs to the left field wall at Mandeville into probably a 20mph wind.
