What's interesting is the presenter (Brenda Fricker) was the pigeon lady in Home Alone 2 (also with Joe Pesci).

Crash was easily the worst of the five. I can't believe it won.

Every time I see Roberto Benigni win, I tear up.
I guess it's because of the harsh film material in contrast to the pure happiness that the guy shows.
