I have a bigger problem with opening night at The Box having under 10k when 12k tickets were sold.

Tests my ass. We, the ones who went to college, know what the balance between school and social activities are. If you can't handle school and and a myriad of activities then you likely aren't college material and should go ahead and submit an app to taco bell.
I wonder how every other student section from the university of Maine to San Diego State seems to manage. BTW, that was a geographical reference for those of you didn't get it. Y'all are probably the ones studying on a Saturday afternoon

There have been plenty of other games this year when the student section has been much better than the other sections.. Most recently the Vanderbilt game. Deal with it
ETA: I don't agree with the test excuse. That's just crap

People would always rather sit up in the seats than sit with the uncool "hooligans" in the bleachers.

Not today, not now; on a Saturday at that. IMO they could shrink the section and id be ok. Student section was in its prime 99-06 anyways. Little douche hipsters were more worried about showing up for that stupid Harlem shake than their own teams basketball game.

Well fwiw, I never missed a home basketball or football game my 5 years at LSU. I did my job. I can understand why some dont though. I don't go to many baseball games because I'm not a big baseball fan.
