I was in attendance for the game tonight and only saw one weak spot in the lineup. Christian Ibarra doesn't seem to have what it takes to play third (just doesn't look natural); his bat was lacking as well. I know its the first game, but do you see Mainieri trying out other options in the future such as Tyler Moore or Jared Foster.

We'll play with the lineup a lot. We always do.

I love generalizations made about ONE fricking baseball game.

And for what it is worth, his natural position is SS, he moved to 3B so Bregman could play SS.

I thought he was fine in the field tonight. Had one play were he stumbled a little, but other than that looked good.

I'm just mainly confused why neither Foster nor Moore is seeing the field.

Hanover did more than adequate job over there for 3/4 years (started 2nd base one year). He never "struggled" at the plate and his defense was acceptable considering 120mph throws.

Moore is the DH against RHP. He didn't start tonight because it was a lefty.

You want them to play third?

Ibarra's only bad play in the 9th is because he was shifted close to the line trying to prevent a double.
