The new 20,000 square foot, glass-fronted lobby, on the building's corner of Girod Street closest to Champions Square, is part of the Phase Two construction giving the building a dramatic entrance way that was lacking, facilitating ingress and egress and access to the box office."It's a very grand entrance," said Thornton.

Club level is getting the hookup. I'm sure well-connected Rastafarians everywhere are amped.

I'd settle for them replacing the green tiles with almost anything else.

This is amazing.

Thank god they are building that bandstand shite on the other side of the lower bowl near the hornets bench because otherwise my seats in top part of 118 would be a gone pecan.

Saw the plans first hand. The entrance will be better, but for what they are spending, it is not worth the money, IMO. All the club areas and suites are getting renovated. All in all, a whole lot of money for a minor upgrade.

I don't see the value personally of the club seats and all that, but the stuff sells. All that stuff about revenue generation in the long term is what they are focused on.

Other Arenas have better green rooms and bunker suites . . . so we have to keep up. They have better control rooms . . . so we have to keep up. Etc.

That sort of of stuff is not just about basketball. It's about getting more Kid Rock and Madonna shows. It's about getting big events like the Final Four going into the future.

While I personally don't care about these things, it's clear others do.
