don't assume that either one of those guys are really excited about going to LSU right now.

Why not?

Some guys just don't consider staying in state as high of a priority. For every guy who is diehard LSU, there is another guy who wants to get out of the state (if they have the right offers).

I realize that, I meant why about those 2 specifically.

Because other people mentioned them specifically.

I think LSUs success rate in regards to offering and landing Louisiana kids over the last 10 years suggests that your estimated ratio of 1:1 may be slightly off.

Are you having trouble understanding my question? What about those two specific kids leads you to believe they aren't excited about the possibility of playing for LSU?

anyone know what impact JT has on where the recruits go. does he tell them that a certain school is not a good fit and go look elsewhere or does he let kid totally decide on his own and just make sure its his FINAL choice.

It is just my personal belief that they would like to play out of state. That is based on what I know, but I will leave it at that. Of course they will probably strongly consider LSU if they feel it is there best choice, but I think right now they are really looking at out of state schools.

I would imagine he lets the kid make the choice and advises them the best he can. I DON'T think he pushes people towards or away from certain schools

JT doesn't care where the kids go. He just wants them in college somewhere, preferably on scholarship. He doesn't hate LSU like people think he does and actually a couple family members have done some playing at LSU or were planning on walking on. I can tell you that just because JT doesn't care where they go, there are still a lot of guys ("personal trainers" are high up there on the list) who definitely try to steer where kids go.

OK, now we've gotten somewhere.

I'm cool with that, there are recruits from time to time that I know more about than the average poster, and don't appreciate being harrassed to give up my sources.

Thanks, but I don't owe it to you to say everything I know about every kid, I am just letting you know I think these kids are very interested in going out of state.

do you think riley and gordon at LSU will have any impact on their decision?

You obviously don't know much about recruiting. What I worry about more is the guys who get offers simply because the school has other guys that the college wants to offer down the line. The kid goes off to that school thinking he has a great shot of starting or getting good PT only to realize he will be a special teams guy for 3-4 years.

Now that the story is out, I know that a few people weren't too excited about how the whole deal went down. A few people got rubbed the wrong way.

I know you aren't referencing Duke Riley here, are you? Because if you are, you are full of shite.

It's possible, but I wouldn't say it would be a deciding factor.

I don't need to hide who I am talking about. If I wanted to say Duke, I would have said his name.

the only reason I could see them wanting to go oos this early would be they see the potential competition at LSU. dupre could be looking at the wr talent in the 2014 class and young could be looking at the amount of lbs in 2012 class then add in beckwith and riley in 2013. just a thought. really early for guys to just say they want to go oos. no history of guys going oos at jt except mcknight. that didn't turn out great. not bad but not great.

Oh really? You were referring to a specific incident. Very clearly, in fact:

And you are hiding who you were talking about, or else you'd have said it. If not Duke, who are you talking about?
