I just got a call from a cousin telling me I could get back in the family deer club for 500. Lets start by saying I use to be die hard deer hunter but last 7 years have only been duck hunting. Should I get in the club and go maybe ten times when duck season isnt open or if home and want to make a quick hunt? The club is in the wilson area. Is ten hunts worth 500 bucks?

I think you should pass, then tell said cousin you know someone that is looking for a new hunting club.

should you do something you really do not like to do? Easy answer

depends on chances of killing at that club in 10 trips.

I like deer hunting but I won't miss a trip to go kill ducks to go on a deer hunt. This place is in a good area so chances are pretty decent.

but I won't miss a trip to go kill ducks

I would definitely go ahead and join it . It'll be 500 dollars well spent IMO

Join deer club, get out of house.
If you got an ol' lady, you win big time.
If you don't have an ol' lady, you got a bug-out site for when you do have an ol' lady.
Plus, you can throw your empties at road signs on the way.

I would never miss a chance to go kill a deer by going on a duck hunt... just not worth it to me. So I would join the deer lease... but if duck hunting is your priority then I'd stick to the ducks.....

If its a good deer property that should produce on those 10 trips a year, yes, get in. 500 is very very cheap for a good place and its worth it to hold on to it even if you dont go a ton.

Best part about deer hunting is the rut, so go bust some ducks until rut starts then go shoot you a big buck. If you have the cash i say join the club.

depends on how well you like the others in the club...the bullshite that comes along with hunting clubs is sometimes unbearable...like a bunch of fricking old ladies trying to beat one another at bingo....
