Why are there ads for prescription drugs? (Posted on 2/14/13 at 3:43 am)
Running commercials for prescription drugs that the general public can't buy makes no sense. Only a doctor can get you those drugs and the doctor decides what you are going to get. My cousin is a doctor. He gets visited by drug reps all the time! So why ads for the general public? I think the reason behind the ads is to keep you convinced you need a drug for e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! Look a the filled prescription walls at CVS or Walgreens! Hundreds of filled prescriptions. The medical industry is convincing us that our bodies are incapable of healing itself. You can't do anything without prescription drugs.

quote: Because they cost billions to produce. They hope you see the commercial, replicate the "symptoms", and request it specifically. Money needs money.

You're barking up the wrong tree. Big Pharma is a large reason that our medical costs are out of control. For some reason, people give them a free pass.
