Is it just me or.. (Posted on 2/12/13 at 11:13 pm)
Do OC's usually do their best work during the first couple years running the offense due to limited film and expectations for opposing DC's? Can't really think of a whole lot of examples off the top of my head but its just something I've always seemed to notice. Just want to know what y'all think. And I'm seriously looking forward to a change of pace with CC running our Offense.

You do see it more with offense as opposed to defensive coordinators and defense oriented coaches being more successful over longer period of times.
Offense is constantly reinventing itself, Cam will do fine for a while though I believe. College is still not the NFL and its more about talent/execution than anything. Bama plays the same defense/offense for the longest but they have elite talent and near flawless execution.

I think that with Cam as the coordinator we will see a lot better execution of pretty much the same offense we have been running. Maybe an extra wrinkle or two to make our base plays look a little different but the main thing will be better execution.

Yeah but we are a running football program. Sometimes they cant stop us running the ball with our backs. So they may know whats coming but that doesnt mean they will stop it.
