I just got through trying to find out a little bit about LSU's newest 2013 commit.

There isn't much of anything about him on the internet that I can find. What I did see is that he as never made a free throw in his life. Played only a few minutes here and there and rarely scored.

Does anyone know this kids story. What little info I saw on him leads me to believe/hope there is more to him than the stats I saw. What is the scoop.

Thanks. That and another long video of him practicing is all I have been able to find. I am beginning to think the video contains every good thing he ever did on the court!!! haha

You are probably looking at his stats on the U17 national team... He is the 4th big player so he gets very few minutes. Im not sure how basketball works over there but I'm sure he has made a free throw before... Just not in his few minutes playing in the national team.

As a lot of people had said, he is very raw. He isn't ready to be a 1 and done kind of player, but he is ready to learn and has a skill set that could make him very successful in college basketball.

He has shown good agility and leaping ability and is supposedly still growing. Im not sure how legit his 7' status is, but he looks like he can play some good ball.

Thanks and that is what I figured might be possible but was hoping someone had some specifics. Did he play basket ball for his HS, and how did he do there.

Just trying to get a grasp if this guy is going to be the next Shaq or a replacement for Tuba.

Hey Omegaman, about whether he's the next Shaq or next Tuba, I think the end result will be somewhere in between. Maybe not a lottery pick but someone who can develop into a solid player that provides quality minutes in the post.

Watching his film, I was pretty encouraged. He's not just a tall stiff recruited for his height. He seemed legitimately athletic, skilled and fluid. He can finish around the rim with an emphatic dunk (video I saw had him doing a reverse dunk in a game), has a nice mid-range jumper and seems that he can run the floor well.

Keep in mind he's part of a class that has higher profile guys like Martin, Mickey and Quarterman. In other words, he doesn't have to be a superstar or big scorer. Instead, if he can just score a few baskets, grab some rebounds, block/alter some shots and be a solid low-post presence, he's a great complementary piece to the other talent that will be on hand. I'm intrigued and optimistic about this kid's potential.
