I'm running through it again getting ready for the expansion. I'm probably going to get railed for this but does it seem like there was a bunch of "race against the clock" missions? I don't mind having those in the mix and the challenge is nice sometimes. I just feel like it was over used to speed up the play.

I agree, but that is the whole gist of the game.

The player is given limited time and resources in order to complete an objective.

I get that. It just feels like it is used way more than many other games. I'll admit that it doesn't fit my playing style and that is probably why it bothers me more.

Well, I think that SC2 is more about the multiplayer online play.

You can change the speed of the game during that campaign, but multiplayer is all about speed.

No desire for any expansions beyond just running through the single player campaign. I may just watch the cinematics on youtube and call it a day.

I'd like to play multiplayer but being required to be exceptional to have any prayer leaves me with zero fricks to give regarding it.

I've never been a big multiplayer person. Besides, my playing style is to hide behind a Maginot line and either build up a massive army or do surgical strikes. Koreans would laugh at me.

I'd rather watch people play Starcraft than play it myself. I'm just abysmal at it compared to anyone you find on YouTube.

I'm with you there. I like to watch some of the strategies. There was one time a friend and I teamed up for some 2v2. I did my defensive line thing and he built the army to go and pound them. They kept throwing themselves against my line and only got through once just to meet his army. After every attack he'd go out and just whittle them down. I doubt we were playing hardcore gamers though.

You would be surprised, I have played 2v2 games with Idra and some Korean pros. You probably have played some top players, granted almost zero chance of winning.

All you need is a teammate or two with good communication skills and you can do rather well.

I know where you are coming from. I've won 100 solo games as Terran and am still a bronze leaguer. But in 2v2 and 3v3 I am gold and plat. You add people and you can have more of a buffer. You guys play well together and you'll win.

If you don't play anything but single player you are missing out on all the amazing custom games.

If you still want to hold your own in 1v1 just study up a bit and practice builds. IMO I find a win more rewarding when I earn it in SC2 vs a player than any other multiplayer video game.

Best I ever got was diamond in 2v2. That was 2 seasons ago though.

Idra played Terran and owned. All I did was random drops/harass as my macro sucks. He basically won the game by himself, and he's a Zerg pro, so he was amazing. His Terran macro was like GM level player.

Haha I don't care if you're bad. It's just a game.
