For those in the fanbase that say LSU "recruits itself"

Please watch tomorrow as USCw and UTex derp their way to horrible classes. Kiffin may end up with single digits. Both schools were considered "crown jewels" of college football not very long ago...

As great of a position that LSU football is in right now, it only takes a few bad moves to get where these guys are

USC is also landing nothing but highly rated players. I do agree that their total number is low but supposedly very high quality. Not that I think he does anything with the recruits though.

They are dropping like flies though. And I think we can all agree that a major college football program cannot sustain itself when it signs less than 10 players.

That might be all we actually have room for - I can't recall. It was going to be a small class anyway. But the OP's message is spot on.

No matter how highly ranked the players are, signing 11 kids is a failure of a class. Undersigning when you're already on limitations is an abortion.

How many are they allowed to sign this year? I thought the lost scholarships were finished.

They could sign 15 this year. They may sign 10 or 11, possibly even 9.

LSU finished low in Rivals rankings last year. It happens. USC is imploding, recruits know Mack may not be there long.
