Even if the corner doesn't hold crabtree, he would have had

to make one hell of a catch.
Kaepernick had to throw it too soon.

Crabtree could easily have been called for OPI there. Not really much room for the Niners to complain.

It may have been uncatchable. That ball landed a good 2-3 yards out of bounds

Would've had a better shot to catch it though. He would've had to drag both feet.

The refs let the dbs play rough all night. She how Boldin was mugged when he caught that pass on 3 &1? No PI or holding there either.

except when they called DPI on the 49ers on the ravens' final drive on a ball that was uncatchable

that whole series was some horrendous play calling by the 49ers

No idea why Jim harbaugh didn't call that last time out to get the best play in. Clearly thrown early or not, a 4th own call for a fade pass to win the Super Bowl is terrible on every level.

no doubt

they should have tried some read option there...possibly with a misdirection/reverse call

I agree with this. I thought CK should have run more the whole game. It would have opened up more passing for him.

Yes.. the WR was held and assualted well before the ball arrived. Sometimes it makes you feel better to have a good cry

Yep. Dumb play call. I thought that play and the 2 point attempt were both terrible calls.

a ball that was not catchable

and crabtree (i believe) was assaulted before the ball arrived on that short route in the end zone (on 3rd down i believe)

if the call is consistent, they're either both DPI or neither are DPI. you choose.

Yeah, that's why I'm not sure why there's so much bitching about it. Horrible call and horrible execution. Kap practically threw it out of bounds.
You ran it right down the field not sure why you wouldn't try some kind of gadget run play there

looks like the play they were running before the timeout/ almost delay of game was gonna be an option or just a straight sweep with Kaepernick. looks like that's where they really blew it.

that and they should have had a hot read on 4th that went across the middle. a quick slant or something. either you get a much better chance at a TD or probably force PI.
