I've turned it up to 80 and it's still blowing and temp is 60

Yes, I turned it off but I don't want to get hot tonight so I can't leave it off
Paco, but is it justifiable after hours?

Harry, yeah I checked that to make sure my son didn't change it. I turned it up to 80 and it still never quit blowing

THe low for tonight is 45, so you can probably just crack a window if you get hot. It sounds like the temp sensor is broken. so it doesn't recognize that it's reached the right temp.

You can call them, but I seriously do not see them coming out on a Saturday night to look at it when it isn't a true emergency.

It is your thermostat. Sometimes, turning it off and then turning it back on later will help. Kinda like hitting a starter if it sticks on a car. I have had the same issue with mine.

If it's central, should be an on and off switch. Turn it off. Sounds like it's probably low on freon or there is a relay switch stuck or broken, or, thermostat screwed up. Also, check your filter, if it's stopped up, or if the coils are full of dirt, that could be an issue. If it is stopped up coil area, you probably can't check that and an A/C man will have to clean it.
