Texas Vs. the Nation Game Today: Prospect Emeka Onyenekwu

https://www.texasvsthenation.com/ is this afternoon of FOX sports. Like the other all star games, the practices prolly mean more than the game. Reading up on players that had an impressive week in practice. Adding A.O. here wondering if any ULL folks might have any more take on him. (hazelnut?) Possible 5th-7th Rd OLB type-
Although he looks significantly lighter in uniform than his measured weight, his ability to play strong at the point of attack grabbed my attention first. Quick getting moving at the snap, Emeka consistently was able to dictate the play to the blocker. Using his hands well to jolt and defeat blocker allowed him to consistently pressure the quarterback and make plays against the run. Technically sound taking on run blocks with good leverage and hand use, he made it look easy holding ground versus pulling offensive linemen, could shed and make the tackle on runs towards him. Emeka was viewed as a late round flier type player before this week, but after his performance in Texas I would be surprised if he is around after the fifth round.

Draft him
He's a solid player. I'd think he's worth a mid to late round choice. It's interesting they project him at LB. He really only played DE for the Cajuns. But he does have the body for a 3-4 LB
