| Decorated Combat Veteran - 5 felony counts - d/t empty high-capacity magazines (Posted on 2/2/13 at 7:01 am)
Update to Swampcat's thread. Incident happened 4wks ago, on January 6th. Frankly, the most interesting aspect of the story is the total dearth of news coverage. There is nothing out there. 4wks, interesting story, nothing! The account below is the only remotely normal coverage I found in a quick search. It is from a local NY area affiliate. Not national. Not one story in the MSM. Why? Is this simply a case of a decorated war hero minding his own business being a bad poster boy for the anti-gun crowd??? quote:
LeRay Man Faces Weapons Possessions Charges Jan 7, 2013 at 6:15 AM EST A town of LeRay man was accused Sunday of possessing high-capacity magazines for an assault rifle. Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies say 32 year old Nathan Haddad allegedly had five 30-round magazines for an AR-15 rifle in his possession. Police say the magazines were found during a vehicle check on Steinhilber Road in the town of LeRay. Haddad was charged with five counts of third degree criminal possession of a weapon and arraigned in Watertown town court. LINK
Checked snopes.com. The story is real. Snopes (of course) downplays the lack of coverage, but confirms it nonetheless. ( LINK)

WTF? so you cannot even POSSESS a 30 round magazine now? I thought they just could not buy anymore in New York? People need to move out those liberal states and watch them crumble. Hell, it is happening in California already.
