So much wrong in this post. It's mind-boggling to me that people actually believe this.

When was the last time that Stoke won the EPL? Or the last World Cup won by Cote d'Ivoire or Ghana?

I like how people don't think Landon Donovan, Oguchi Onyewu and Jozy Altidore (and Josh Gatt, from what I saw the other night) aren't elite athletes.

And what some *would* consider an elite athlete (Ochocinco) looked like a weekend leaguer when he got on the field against some MLS reserves.

Soccer is inherently un-american.

*un-American. If you're gonna be jingoistic, at least capitalize America.

Yeah, Americans had to make up our own games to be good at (baseball, basketball, football).

Actually, if soccer was played the same way it was in the beginning, the athleticism argument would have much more merit.

Yeah, that explains the Olympics.

Even NBA basketball requires more overall athleticism than the soccer.

Basketball is like soccer on a smaller court, with less running, more timeouts and more stoppage of play. So I am gonna have to disagree with you on that one.

Haha, okay.

America does the whole "sports" thing better than any other country. Nothing worse than being a self-loathing American when it comes to sports. Definitely a huge problem with the conceit of American soccer fans that pisses a lot of potentially interested people off.

Sorry that we're more intelligent, cultured, and better looking than the rest of the American sports heathens out there.

Yeah, because I'm totally being serious in all of this.

I was making fun of the "soccer is un-American" dude.

my b dude, I grew up in high school with kids who genuinely thought like that and have noticed it as an attitude on this board. Soccer is more of a contact sport than football, Landon Donovan is an elite athlete, Kobi jones > Adrian Peterson, etc.

No worries. I'm not like that at all.

You do realize that Landon Donovan is essentially Wes Welker without steroids, right?

Sheep, acgeaux129 is a soccer troll. He pretends to like the sport and understand it, but sadly he doesn't, and in fact has a hidden spite for it.

The only thing you are guilty of is having a sense of humor. If Cwill doesn't agree with every post you make then he labels you a troll and publicly scorns you. His e-power is great.
