Don't worry, it won't stay that nice for long. Go back to that same place in 1 year and see what it looks like.

if its brand new? sure. people will get all pissy about the granite but its a lot more durable than the cheap stuff and is probably a better value over the life of the dwelling. and i dont even think we should have public housing

It's easier to clean up a bedbug infestation without carpet.

I'm bothered by the dishwasher. my tax dollars really don't need to provide people dishwashers. Then again many of the people who even up here won't know anything about work to begin with, so maybe it needs to be there.

You saying white folks won't be using these houses? I wonder who will be paying for them.

It is easier to remove carpet than refinish hardwood floors. Concrete blocks of flats are also more durable than these framed townhouse we are now providing. But, you can put your girlfriends head through sheet rock with less damage (to her) than a cinder block so that might be the reason. In NO we build housing for the dysfunctionals in the range of 250K to 375K per unit. Excluding land acquisition costs.

Yep, and inspected monthly, and if they're not keeping it up, they get tossed. That's how they used to work it.

Yes, that is why they were maintained so well! Appreciative tenants and effective management.

White-painted concrete walls. Gray-painted concrete floors. 2x4 cabinets with concrete tops. Efficiency-style. ie, one big room, no bedroom, living room, ect. All as one. :dealwithit:

This I've built subsidized housing before and had to go back in for "warranty walks". Places were disgusting not 11 months from when "they" moved in. Not to mention 1 unit had removed and apparently sold the dishwasher (energy star rated of course)

so why on earth would the government spend so much damn money on something that's going to be messed up in no time flat anyway? What is the reason for this insanity if they already know what's going to happen to the place?
