What sites should I go to aside from la sportsman and bs to trade some 5.56 for a pistol? Or you think it would be easier to sell outright, then purchase one since people are paying out the arse right now? Has anyone here sold anything on gunbroker recently?

Nice, start on BS so you avoid the shipping and the host site taking a cut, then maybe check out GB if that doesnt sell quickly.

The crazy thing is, The average price per round on gb is 70 cents per round for 5.56- .223. 1500 rounds = 1050$.
Not looking for anything brand new, but 1000 can get a nice 1911 all day.

Agreed, but $2k can get you a nice 1911, a few extra mags, and the ammo you need in one stop to avoid what the rest of us are going through
