What was the story on Marcus Thornton's recruitment?

Wanting to know how Marcus Thornton's recruiting went down. One of my all time favorite tigers. It's too bad we only had him for two years.
I know he went to Kilgore College first. Was he offered coming out of high school? He averaged 27 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a senior at Tara High School in Baton Rouge.
TIA for any info.

Talking about straight out of high school. Why wasn't he signed then? Obviously he came after his time at Kilgore College

Dont like what Sacramento is doing to him this year. He was starting last year and doing well, now he's a bench guy and really struggling.

not any recruitment because grades werent there, hence the JC route

would have been a nice gunner off the bench as a frosh on that final four team. dmitch was the only consistent threat from long range.
