Looking For Chartplotter/Electronic Recs.

Just got a new to me boat. It has a garmin base model chartplotter/fishfinder. In the past I have always gotten away with just a compass, depht finder and GPS. However I would like an 'all in one' to run everything and use the existing model as back up.
I am looking for recommendations on models and what works the best. I would like to find a used touch screen chartplotter that will run everything (don't want to spend $3 to $5 on one). I spent a little while looking online, but where do you find a used (3 or 4 year old) model?
Also, the boat has RPM and Fuel tank gages only. How hard is it to install and rig up Fuel Management (GPH) gages to monintor how much fuel I am buring. Or other recommendations?
