It's probably pretty good advice. And I would normally have no problem with it if it wasn't coming from the Chinese. They're some sneaky bastards.

They aren't sneaky in this regard. They own a lot of US debt. They have a vested interest in being paid back in equally valuable currency as they lent.

They're not sneaky at all. All you have to do is think, "What would be in the best long-term interests of the Chinese?" the problem is too many Americans lack the capacity to put themselves in others' shoes, so they often are surprised.
If you want to learn about Chinese tactics there are two books out that you should read:
The Art of War
and
The Prince
It's all in there.

China could be mad that the Fed is devauling the dollar(inflation) faster than the interest they are charging for their loans to us.
The EU telling the Fed something is like my left hand bitching at my right hand.
I sense a push to move oil off of the dollar and when that happens.......We will be Greece.

I have read Sun Tzu's Art Of War but I haven't read The Prince. I'll have to check it out. You are right. I was being a bit facetious with my remark. They're very shrewd people.

although i wouldn't go so far as to say "nobody" fricks with their currency as much as china.
adding to their hypocrisy, they whine and give these veiled threats, but they already initiated this "trade war" by having purposefully kept their currency artificially low for trade balance reasons.

He has no point. China's equivalent of the US' Federal Funds Rate has been much higher than the US' for a very long time.
The hypocrisy is entirely on the US, and has been entirely on the US.
