| The Growlers release new album - Hung at Heart (Posted on 1/28/13 at 8:05 pm)
Anyone else a fan of Los Growlers? I realize psychedelic rock isn't for everyone, but I absolutely love this band and have been waiting for this release for far too long. Are You In Or Out? is one of my favorite albums to come out within the past 5 years. Hot Tropics is up there too.
I'm really digging their new album Hung at Heart. These songs in particular stood out to me: Someday, Naked Kids, One Million Lovers, Pet Shop Eyes and Beach Rat. I had really high hopes for this being that Dan Auerbach was producing it, but he might have had too much of an influence on some of the songs from this album (which definitely branches away from Are You In Or Out/Hot Tropics roots). Their tour comes this way in a couple of weeks so I will reserve judgement on some of the slower songs. Regardless, I am really enjoying the long awaited LP. Who else has heard the new album?
