He couldn't legally carry concealed in that situation in LA but good for him for standing up for his rights.

Did anyone notice how many citizens remained after the councilmen walked out?

So now we're reduced to posting any non-event that makes some redundant point . . . well . . . over and over? Gee, I'm glad I spent five minutes or so of my time watching that inspiring and informative video. I certainly feel better about America knowing that two silly council members didn't get their way. The future of America was hanging in the balance. ETA: Just in case I get banned (I've been warned not to go against the flow) for that post, hope to see you all at some future date.

So now we are reduced to chastising citizens for exercising a legal right So now we are reduced to completely irrational lines of thinking to address root causes of problems Thanks for "not caring" enough to extensively post your indifference May the almighty progresso save us from his true believer The sentiment cuts both way, boss

That statement in a vacuum means nothing. If you're referring to the guy carrying a concealed weapon, I don't criticize him if it was legal for him to carry it on the premises (I'm curious why he felt compelled to make a point out of it, however )

I don't know what this means. Anyway, how is the dumbassery and exhibitionism of some obscure city councilperson instructive? The objecting member made an arse of himself and was voted down by the majority.

"Semi-official" I'd say. Back channels.

Only a little. Apparently I don't have the "right attitude" and my comments aren't appreciated. I'll tone it down to keep Big Brother's panties from getting in a wad again. See how compliant and diplomatic I can be?

V, I may disagree with you quite often but I appreciate the chance to hear you out. I don't think that living in a bubble that simply parrots back my beliefs is a good thing. I don't get a vote here, but I hope you get to stick around.

Appreciate the thought. I do get a little exasperated and occasionally make wise arse remarks, but so do others. Nothing personal . . . except in the case of a couple of posters.
