An article here tells that the FrankenStein assault weapons ban lacks even democratic votes to pass the senate. Here is the article:

I don't know if this is good or bad news. I felt better when it wasn't quite so obvious a ban would fail. They may just repackage the intended bill without a full ban and make it more streamlined for magazines now.

Actually we talked about her in my Louisiana government class today, she is one of the more conservative democrats out there. I was interested to look at her voting record. I'd much rather her over who knows what would get elected in her place.

Me too, I saved my brother a good chunk of change by talking him out of some jacked up buys, but I still think accessories are on the table. Instead of a big dramatic bill that bans guns dying in congress we may have a small targeted bill pass quietly that bans certain mags and tac gear.
