Go for it? This would be my first AR purchase. What should I look for to make sure it's a solid gun?

i didn't even THINK about scope. if EoTech, Aimpoint, Trijicon.... you got a steal if he's including that.

with the gun craze and price hikes, that is roughly avg for just the gun alone. but a friend ought sell to u what he paid for it at most imho. but he may just be doing that if he's adding scope.

All of it for $1600? Is it stolen? That looks like a Trijicon Acog which is a $1000 scope.

In this climate it is a great deal i would think. That trijicon definitely adds value and I have seen plain jane AR's going for $1600+ without mags or optics.

If thats a real trijicon its worth nearly half what hes asking in total. $1600 would be a fair price in normal times. I say take it. Pull the scope off and relist the rifle on gb for $1k and see what happens.

If the mag that's installed in the pic is included, which looks to be a Surefire 100 round that normally goes for about $160, and the ACOG on top is a real Trijicon, that is a steal.
If you got it, and didn't like the Surefire mag, I saw one last on gunbroker for $300 so you could easily make a little back from that if it's included.

Yea he told me the scope alone was worth $1200-$1300
I don't like the mags in the pic so I will probably unload those. I hate that stock but my best friends dad has an extra Magpul stock that he said he will give me and put on for $60. It's brand new and never been used.
