Hang in there and be well.

This is a great thread. I wish I could post a picture that I have of a great great great uncle who was a Major in the Civil War. He was captured and escaped from Libby Prison and survived the war -- but it's in a frame. Also framed is a letter he wrote his mother during the war.

I also have one of my Grand Dad when he was a "Doughboy" in WWI - but that is framed too.

There's an entire section of San Francisco, the area north of PacBell Park, iirc, that was created by the piles of debris from the earthquake and fire. The dumped all the stuff at the water's edge, but there was so much stuff that it created several city blocks worth of new real estate.

I wish I could see those pics. I love old photography & letters.
I have a book of old love letters in a scrap book I bought at a antique store. It's one of my most prized possession.

The "babe" to end all babes.

She was hot all the way to 60. As an aside, did you know that anal sex is the primary cause of anal cancer, which is what killed her. Her New York Times obituary originally included that detail, but I see that it's since been removed.

Cuban Missile Crisis Photos

President John F. Kennedy tells the American people that the U.S. is setting up a naval blockade against Cuba, during a television and radio address, on October 22, 1962, from the White House.
The president also said the U.S. would wreak "a full retaliatory response upon the Soviet Union" if any nuclear missile is fired on any nation in this hemisphere."

Former President Kennedy wrote "Missile Sites" on the map and marked them with an X when he was first briefed by the CIA on the Cuban Missile Crisis on October 16, 1962.

These pictures of WWII will make you stop and think about how spoiled we are today and lucky that so far, we haven't had to witness that type of destruction and loss of life. Much respect to the men who fought for our country in that hellhole :use:

It would be a bad golf lesson. You need a pro.

i don't know what most of the pictures are, but I had this bad boy on the wall and used it every night.

I had this poster. My brother drew a mustache on it, so I drew a naked lady on his Presidential Physical Fitness Award.

This one is well-known, but the thread would be incomplete without it. I've seen one of the originals.

RMN wiping a tear away as he said good bye after his resignation August 9, 1974. He was the first man I ever voted for for President. It was a pretty intense time to be a law student in Washington.
