Recruiting Rankings that made you scratch your head

What are some of the all time head scratchers for you. I'm talking about what was the most confusing player ranking you can remmeber, either too high or too low.
for me, it's Al Woods. Living in that area, and seeing him play, as well as knowing some of the guys who knew him, I never understood the high rankings for that guy. There were evident motor issues, and he was clearly feasting on far inferior competition at a middle of the pack 1A school.

Apparently Shep as the #1 dual threat QB since everyone at LSU claims he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Russell Shepard for me. I didnt see him in high school but After watching his freshman yr at LSU, I knew this guy was way overrated.

A lot depends on the coaching/system the recruit goes in to. Recruit rankings are based off ceiling.

sidell corely. his "highlight" video was pretty meh. No idea why he was rated a rival 100 guy, other than he was considered a bama lean by most.

Fantastic athlete that I've defended since day 1. Still, to be ranked as the #1 Dual Threat QB and not throw a single pass in your college career would seem to be just cause to call him overrated.

he is a reserve for the steelers. honestly didn't know that, but coming out of high school, the guy was like a 5 * by some services, and, without much doubt, i can say his college career didn't stack up to that.
he was just one that i doubted from day one.

Also size and measurables just like the nfl combine.
