Why do we try to shoot so many 3's? We don't have shooters and waste a lot of opportunities to pick up some points. Are our guys just afraid of getting hurt?

It also seems that JOB is very timid and unnecessarily dribbles down low and ends up bent over a mobbed. What is the deal?

We have an extremely guard laden team with no front court depth and we can't work it down in the post. Pretty much sums it up

Have you seen our post players? JOB get double teamed as soon as he touches the ball and ADP isn't much of a scoring threat. We shoot so many 3's cause we have to. It's our best chance at winning games. Our guards are also sub 6' guys so they have trouble driving inside cause they get shots blocked.

Malik had two great drives last game and Carmouche will drive because they are both taller guards.

After every rebound he takes his "security dribble" which has been my biggest frusteration when it comes to him. It allows his defender to set and I think it is just dumb, but it's a habbit he picked up before he came to LSU and is having trouble ridding himself of it.

He was much better passing out of the double team, but with no help down low defenders know they can double him immediately.

Well ok then...you are forgiven this time.

We DO have shooters...Hickey/Stringer/Morgan/ et. al are capable shooters. Did they make a high percent vs A&M? No they didn't. But as mentioned above, our interior game on offense is woeful. And we knew this going in. JOBIII is taking one for the team...he really isn't a post player. Tuba dude is what he is. And Ludwig...well..is Eddie Ludwig. We are not hard to guard on the interior.

You don't watch much basketball do you? You take what the defense gives you and what you can execute against it. In our case because we have only one big man that is a scoring threat, we depend on our guards to score. That means fast break layups after a steal or three point shots for the most part. Hickey, Stringer, Morgan, and Carmouche have been getting better about driving in for a goal though.

I think we do actually have some good shooters but for some reason they get into slumps. Anything above 33% is good for three pointers and prior to SEC we were there. Just not as many open shots available where SEC defense is involved.
