Just made an online purchase of 9mm, .40S&W, .45 Auto, and 38 Special from Cabelas.com. Looks like they have new stock...

Also, stopped at a local Walmart this morning on my way in and nothing but shotgun shells, and a 3 box limit sign that was new.

I wondered about that. Usually ammo in stock is a hot topic on here.

I ordered what I wanted before posting....

It looks like they had a fair amount of stock as well.

I created an account on their site a couple of days ago and began watching their ammo, and they were/are actively updating stock. This morning they had a flood of new online stock to choose from.

I bought some winchester and remington ammo, and it cost me maybe a dollar a box more than Walmart. For me it was worth it so I don't have to run to Walmart or somewhere else contstantly looking for it. The shipping was actually cheaper than the sales tax too.
Higher, yes, but not enough to concern me.

way over-priced may have been a bit of a stretch, but i have found a lot better deals out there. But like you said, this way you don't have to go running all over town to walmart and what not.

and it sucks paying for shipping, but it's better than no ammo at all. Also better than driving from Academy to Walmart to Bass Pro searching for ammo

I'm spoiled. I'm so used to getting my ammo for 8.99 or 9.99 per 50 rd box that I won't buy anything that is over $11/box

Palmetto State Armory, when not in an ammo shortage, has some insanely great sales.

Right now, with a brand new unfired pistol, and no ammo available, I will order from anyone that has any.

Not having to go in walmarks is a bonus.

It's simple supply and demand. No such thing as price gauging. If somebody is willing to pay $100.00 a round then guess what the going rate is. Just cross your fingers and hope that the "doomsday" doesnt get here until after this ammo rush is over.

I just went back in and checked and some of the ammo I bought this morning before posting is now showing "out of stock".
