Are you talking about atheists or liberals? I know some very religious liberals. I don't agree with their politics but we can draw the line there and agree totally with our religious beliefs.

I am referring to liberals and especially social issues. They never want to bring religion into the discussion about abortion or gay marriage but it is ok for them use religion to get a gun law passed.

The Dems have similar problems with social issues in general as the Repubs do. The difference is that most Dems that I know won't not vote for a candidate based on one or two issues while some of the Repubs I know will not vote for someone even over just one issue.

I think you are getting mad to get mad here.
if they used religion to justify the law, then yes, your critique is valid but i don't see bible verses throw around in the gun debate.
i don't see inconsistency here.
Pro gun fwiw, and don't agree with her proposal which will go nowhere.

I don't want to bring religion into those discussions because I don't think serious issues should be influenced by fricking fairy tales.

Total opposite here. People won't vote for Republicans because of one issue. The state is broke and several more taxes and income taxed increased to the highest in the nation on 1/1. Business has been leaving yet they want more "programs."
