- 10 posts required in Help Board before allowed to post in any other board (this will force users to see Help Board stickied threads and let them ask the stupid questions they should there) - 1000 posts required before alloowed to start a thread

I think only allowing threads to be started in the Help Board prior to reaching some milestone would be a good idea. Requiring a user to have 10 posts in the Help Board would at least force them to see the Help Board and might keep some of the dumb questions over here.

Right. Users will start shitting all over every thread in order to reach whatever number of posts that is required to start a thread of their own. The idea sounded good in principal, but it's a lose lose situation in the end.

you act like there aren't thousands upon thousands of message boards that require a certain number of posts prior to being able to start your own thread.
