Terrible act, and a very disturbed couple of kids and even generation if you ask me, but I wonder, considering the number of killings with shotguns over rifles, and especially very specific rifles like n AR 15, are there not other tragic incidents involving say Mossberg Maverick 88 shotguns that often go unreported in the national news for no other reason thn they don't have the benefit of being a dreaded AR15?

The real problem is that the father was a felon who got the guns via straw purchases... and then didn't secure them from his nut job son.

They'll start reporting those after they ban the ARs, that way they can make the case to ban the next round of guns.

It was in the trunk of Lanza's car, that wasn't his car. He used only pistols, but everybody was killed with an AR15, like the one is his/not his trunk. And Emilie Parker is alive, and dead---get it straight.

Speaking of Newtown, have they ever released pictures of the weapons or autopsy reports of the victims?
After Columbine they had pictures of the actual weapons used, so it was never in doubt. But in this story it's still cloudy as to what weapons were used to kill the victims.

Well first it was a Glock and Sig, then it was an AR also, then the AR was just in the trunk, then it was four pistols. Just trying to keep up with the story.

I believe the story is that the AR was the primary gun used, and the others were found in his possession, I suppose in a backpack or bag of some sort. The shotgun in the trunk wasn't used. All were his mother's guns.

I would say the real problem is f'd up kids. Most likely a result of piss poor parenting, and then no shock these shitty parents have rogue guns lying around. Sad stuff. So how do we fix shitty parents and whacked out kids?
