| One damn good class so far (Posted on 1/22/13 at 1:12 pm)
I don't know how this class will finish up and nobody on here knows either as half the kids probably do't know right now, but after a season with its share of heart break and disappointment this is the way to start the next year. This is clearly another top ten class with a solid chance to be a top three class and number one class down the road. We should not be losing any because of lack of talent. Just a good OC away man....

Do you think this is realistic? Or are you just being hopeful?

This class is great, but the teams we play recruit very well. Look at bamas class rankings since saban has been there. Pretty much blows all schools but UT out the window, yet saban still loses games. It happens to great ciaches even if their team looks better on paper.

It's painfully obvious that Coach Mulligan losing not many games isn't the problem. It's the fact that he can lose and still not have it affect his and his team's resume that's the problem...hence the only name I will ever refer to him by from that point forward. And I was disgusted the moment I saw ESPN pick Bama...way before the actual game. No way college athletes can make up that emotional disadvantage after just beating Bama in the "Game of Century" in Alabama just 9 weeks prior to the rematch. Vegas knew this, too, and that's why do much $$$ went their way before the game. We got royally screwed. Anyone want to argue with that to my face, and I'll get in theirs until they either swing at me or puss out.

I don't know that "the system" had any choice but to pick Bama in a rematch. Most of the supporting evidence was in their favor. Really the only argument against choosing them over Okla State was that perhaps rematches should be avoided. Regardless of how common sensible that may sound, it is not explicitly stated anywhere. So, I do not blame anyone for putting Bama ahead of OSU - that was the system in place. If you want to blame anyone, try loking up the FG kickers for Boise State and OSU. Both of them missed chipshot FGs at the end of the game they both lost. If either of those kicks are made, we wouldn't have been facing Bama again.

Come on, man...this wasn't something that happened a century ago that we're trying to figure out over a history book. This JUST happened last year. OSU was the easy and logical pick after winning their conference, taking out OU, and after beating more nationally ranked teams than the latter. I'm sure you're serious, and I can tell that you're playing the "I'm not upset, we just lost" role right now, but it's just plain false that Bama was "cleary" the only logical choice. Oh, and go frick yourself.

Agreed. it would be nice if we could end with a bit more of a bang, but chances appear to be fading. we did most of our damage early, so im good with no BOOMs this NSD.
