It's not staged. I have watched one of his streams. Matt invites people to play with him and tells everyone what server he is on so it's not like it would be hard to find him and do this.
No doubt that one guy enjoys the attention from it and keeps doing it.

I was going to one night when he was broadcasting but the server filled up fast and I didn't feel like waiting for a spot to open up.

I played on a laptop before I built my PC and I had to set everything on such low graphic settings to keep an average 15-20 FPS that looking back, I can't believe I played it.

Good laptop or an older crapier one?
My laptop has an i7 3630QM, SSD, 1GB Radeon 7850m, 8GB 1600Mhz RAM...

I would think that you should be fine. The laptop was a Dell Latitude from a couple years ago, it was a old company laptop. So obviously wasn't the best. I actually have the 2GB Radeon 7850, i5 3450, same RAM, no SSD though. I'm averaging around 35-45 FPS with medium high/high settings.

yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I'm going to look into it and compare what specs the game and add-on require.
