So is having Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James, Reggie Wayne, & Marvin Harrison on the offensive side of the ball.
besides Wayne and Faulk how have the majority of peytons teammates done without him? why are decker and Thomas all of a sudden so good? just another year in denver or something else...?

Conjecture.

Manning had a "top 5" defense this year and didn't win it all.

I have just as many Super Bowls as Peyton Manning when you consider that he has a cannon for an arm, a great QB mind, knows the game inside and out, and has played in the NFL for 14 seasons.

Heck, if you give me his arm, his brain, his teams, his length in the NFL, and everything else about him, I might not have lost in the first round of the playoffs 8 times.

slackhouse > Peyton Manning

He's just lucky...

38 pts were scored on him plus a hail mary

why? Brady won a SuperBowl his first year as a starter

First year as a starter =/= rookie year. However, Manning's back up that year could not have played well and won a playoff game like Drew Bledsoe did in 2001.

In 2001 Brady was more of a game manager, Manning was drafted to carry the team.

Who was responsible for covering Jacoby Jones with a 7 point lead and 31 seconds left? Pretty sure it wasn't Manning.

Actually, the Broncos were 3rd against the rush, 3rd against the pass and 4th in points allowed. So, top 4 at worst.

He had 3 turnovers that led to 17 points for Baltimore. Plus Trindon Holliday spotted him 14 points. With the game on the line, he threw an INT that gave the game to the Ravens.

The biggest difference IMO: Bellichick > Mora, Dungy, Caldwell, Fox

This.

They both have some great help in some areas and have had lacking support in others at times, but the one constant is New England's superiority at the coaching position.

I agree with your point you're making here, but I'm pointing out that it's conjecture to say that Manning would have won those same Super Bowls that Patriots won with Brady. All things aren't equal.

similar defenses... if peyton had NE's defense he probably would have had 1 more super bowl. Peyton is the GOAT and Brady hasnt won one since he has lost the dominant defense.....Brady is still top 4 though in history..no knock on him. Thats the one big difference in the two QB's career. Bruschi, Harrison, Seymour, Law, and company.

Who had the better WR corps over their career?

1 of those INTs hit the WR right in the hands. In the stats it counts as a pick, but if you watched it, it is the WR's fault, more than the QB.

How do you know the Bronco's would not have scored on those drives anyway?

I agree, its speculation, i think the broader point is, NE just had better teams.

Manning. So what? You don't stop the other QB with better WR's.

And Manning had the benefit of two defensive TDs. And Manning made a mental error that was the deciding factor in that game.

Peyton has more Super Bowl wins if you factor in cheating. Brady is 0-2 in Super Bowls after daddy Belichick got caught.

Can we also disallow bama's 2011 title on account of Gregg Williams spying on LSU practices?

Gregg Williams didn't bench Russell Shepard.
