Ugly game, but a big win over Vandy which always seems to have our number. Even with Seimone and Sylvia we had trouble beating them. This gets them back to .500 in conference. A loss would have been bad news heading to UK next week and then on to Auburn. Maybe this will be a turning point in the season.

The defense has turned the corner. If we can get some consistency in the offense, we'll be a dangerous team. What's interesting is that we are 10-1 at home and 1-6 on the road. Every loss was within single digits. There is a lot of inexperience, next year we will compete for an SEC championship. Plaisance, Kenny, and Ballard all have another year of development. We bring in a 5 star guard out of Florida and a top 10 juco player. Baker will be a good one trust me. You can see the improvement each week with this team which is very encouraging

I agree with you about next year and hope you are right about Coco, but I fear she might never get out of Nikki's dog house. She has so much potential but she can't stay out of trouble. Let's hope your also right about the defense turning the corner.

Key win as said above. Defense looks much better last few games. Week off to prep for top 5 uk team.

We did. Our best year with them, when we lost to UT in the Final 4 on that bullshite, we got swept by Vandy and they took an SEC title from us in the process.

One other thing TP has come a long way. She has developed from a frosh like I never expected. Have to give credit to her and staff for taking her game so far.

There is no doubt in my mind that this staff can develop the players. Now we need to build depth, recruiting top players which we are doing already. My issue with our recruiting is that we have to lock up the top talent in state. This recruiting class there was a top 30 player in the state 6-3 forward who is going to uga. Apparently we didn't offer her or recruit her until later in the process.

It's kinda funny.....................just a few days ago there were some folks on this board complaining about Nikki and her staff.

As I'd said before..................this is a young team. The way that they were losing games recently showed that the potential was there but, they didn't understand what it takes to finish games. They're still gonna go through some growing pains this season but, this was a VERY nice win..........even though it was an UGLY game. I'm anxious to see how we compete against UK and their full court pressure defense.

They swept us the same way in '06. SEC tourney title loss to them turned out to be Pokey's last game.

UK is scary. They have been taking SEC teams behind the woodshed and sodomizing them.

Last 2 games: beat Miss. St. 100-47 and beat Auburn today, 97-53.

Afraid they might do the same to us. We turn it over too much and don't have the interior size to give them fits anymore.

Yeah...the 2 wins over them last year are going to be tough to duplicate.

Congrats to the Ben-Galz.

I like Nikki, but with the money she's getting paid she need to win, make the tourney and advance in the tourney.

I hope she can.
