I've wasted a few bucks on worse. Hell, I dropped $20 on the Falcons to win the SB and came pretty close to winning a couple hundred.

if i can find a book that gives me 50-1 on lsu, i will bet 200 for the hell of it. a few breakout players and continued improvement on offense and it isn't that far fetched

Actually he is correct. A future is not going to change from 10 to 1 to 50 to 1 after a handful of juniors depart.
I have a runner in Vegas and about the best odds you are getting on LSU to win the BCS next year is 14 to 1, most books have it around 12 to 1.
By comparison. Mississippi State is at 50 to 1. You think Vegas is giving LSU and MSU the same odds?
