I haven't used a tag in LA since the program started. I'm not saying I haven't killed deer in LA since the program started however.
The tagging system is a complete waste of time and money, IMO. I also hunt MS most of the season where there are no tagging rules and it works just fine.

do you just call them in?
i like the idea. it makes people be somewhat responsible and not to kill more than they should (most of the time). i know there's a better way for it to be done, i just can't think of it

I'd be surprised if there was even 50% participation in the program, for some reason. I could be completely off base, but I don't know of really anyone that tags every deer in LA.
If the majority doesn't participate, the entire system is flawed, IMO. I don't hunt LA much at all anymore. I did but a LA license and hunted with my family over Thanksgiving this season. I haven't killed a deer in LA the past two years on my end, as my lease is in MS.

I don't see a reason why not. As long as you don't mind a lot of cooking, drinking, and Obama bashing during the trip.

I've never used a deer tag.
I've never killed a deer in LA. In fact I've never even seen a deer while deer hunting in LA. This is my first season only hunting LA though. And I only made a total of 4 hunts. 3 of those were bow season. This hunting season sucked for me

I used a tag this year but didnt even put on the deer lol forgot something to tie it to the deer and just held on to it just in case I got pulled over

I've missed two does in the exact same spot this year. It's been pitiful for me. Haven't seen a decent buck except for on camera all year and I've hunted at least 30 days.

I have a very good family friend that personally killed 5 in Arkansas, and 11 in LA this year. He's a grown damn man and eats deer year round. He belongs to three leases between both states and makes sure he gets his money's worth each year.

That's exactly what I'm saying. There are no checkis and balances in this system. Has anyone heard of someone being ticketed for not tagging a deer? I can't say that I have.
In this person's case, his camp is on his lease at two locations and never gets to civilization by means of public road to and from the woods.

I found 4 people with this last year, took their deer AND their tag. 
Also came across two guys this year that failed to validate.
