Making my last hunt right now. Not very optimistic about shooting anything. Will most likely be 3rd straight season that I haven't killed. This shite is getting depressing. Don't get me wrong I love being in the woods , but it would be nice to see something much less kill every once in a while. I really need to find somewhere else to hunt. I've been hunting for almost 15 years and I've yet to see horns in the woods greater than 6 pts.

Rant over

You need to break the ice. If possible where you hunt shoot a buck. Doesn't matter what it is. I know it sounds like juju but its legit

where are you hunting? i know how you feel. i hunted in a club for 2 years in st. helena and saw one doe one time for about 3 seconds crossing a power line. thats it. got out and joined one just across the mississippi line. made all the difference in the world.

Dang.. But to be honest.. That makes hunting SOOO much better because when you do see deer the adrenelin rush is crazy! If you see deer every single time it gets routine. Just keep enjoying it and it will happen and be rewarding!

is you crazy? man thats what keeps me paying the big bucks for my lease and keeps me going back. i see deer on 95% of hunts..and you just never know when a monster will walk out. i love every bit of it.

if i had a place where i hardly ever saw deer, then i would leave and go duck hunting.

I'm in Northern Livingston Parish right now. Joined a club here a few years ago to hunt with my powpow b/c I'm not sure how much longer he'll be around. The lease is also only 15 min from the house which makes it really convenient. Growing up, we hunted in Woodville and Crosby, Mississippi but my family got out if Mississippi when the out if state licences went up a while back.

Eventually I would like to get back to Mississippi. Had some of the best years of my life up there as a kid

+1 Don't get me wrong i love to kill deer but i also love watching them. I can sit all day if i'm seeing deer but if someone is not seeing any deer they're not gonna be in the woods long

There's a lot of deer activity where we are at now. I've gotten pics if several nice racks this year too. But seeing those mofos on my camera sure doesn't suppress my craving for some good ole fried deer heart and backstrap

Exactly. These 5-6 hour hunts go by quicker and are much more enjoyable when I'm seeing animals.

Damn, that's problem numero uno.

You were up to your neck in deer. I went through a rough patch like that where I just didn't hunt. I figured if I had to deer in hunt in LA, I'd rather just save the money for beer.

Good luck this afternoon. A prayer can't hurt.

I did that for a few years and didn't hunt at all. The only reason I joined this club was to spend time with the man who raised me to love and respect the outdoors. He's 75 now and I'm not sure how many seasons he has left in him

I've got 3 cameras out and I've gotten loads of pics all year. Only problem is they're all taken at night with the exception of one large 8 pt

I hunted French Settlement for a couple of years. The guy's whose property is was told me he's never seen deer get nocturnal like they do in LP.

So much pressure there.
