I don't understand why anyone would be for these laws even if you don't own any guns. I have been in the military for over 8 years and have spent 3 years in combat zones. The reason places like Iraq and Afgan are so hard to control is the fact everyone has at least one AK47 in thier house. It is hard to impose your will when everyone has the potential to be a miltiaman if things aren't to his and his family's well-being. i think America USED to be like this, unfort we have veered away from this and have become more and more like sheep. Keen observation. Interestingly enough the US solution to this problem was rigid gun control. With 100,000 troops heavily armed using smart bombs and tanks they could barely manage to control the problem enough to walk down the street.
