What's the capacity on the Xds 9?

I believe I read that it's 7+1

Very nice shooting gun. Not the long heavy trigger pull that many CC guns have.

Here is a comparison between the Shield and M&P 9C.

The shield is a bit smaller and slimmer but your talking max 8 rounds compared to 13 for the 9C.

Model: M&P9c
Caliber: 9mm
Capacity: 12+1 Rounds
Barrel Length: 3.5"
Overall Height: 4.3"
Width: 1.2"
Sight Length: 5.75"

Model: M&P9 SHIELD™
Caliber: 9mm
Capacity: 7 Round & 8 Round
Barrel Length: 3.1"
Overall Length: 6.1"
Frame Width: .95"
Sight Radius: 5.3" / 13.3 cm

I nearly picked up a 9C over the weekend but opted for a Glock 19 instead. Slightly heavier trigger pull on the M&P. It will be my next handgun purchase.

Apex tactical can fit that.

I have read on a few sites about this being done and they really like it. I just dont see myself being comfortable with a sub 3lb pull on a carry gun. the 6.5lb pull of the M&P is actually fine i just liked the slightly lighter pull a little more.

Good luck with that. Shields couldn't be found before the paranoia.

do not buy that gun. I freaking hated my buddies new one he just bought. .40 cal and couldn't hit a posted sign from 30 yards out with it to save my life.
It was that bad.

Mine in 9mm is perfectly fine. Sounds like a lemon, because I have heard nothing but good things from owners like myself.

Another good choice, burgeman has one, and it shoots very well. No safety on it.

The .45, again, has low capacity unless you get the extended magazine. The 9mm offering will be harder to find than the shield, I believe it also has no safety, which was the hangup for most people when it came to the Shield.

I got a 9mm shield last week.
It disappears using iwb.
Look at smaller gun shops.
I called 15 stores in N MISS before finding one.

May be it is not the gun and its you. I have one and love it. I have no accuracy issues with it. Easy to shoot. But everyone has their own opinion. I would highly recommend getting one. It's a great gun.

Same here I ditched a G26 for the 9mm shield and couldn't be happier.

Just go to gunbroker website. A 10 second search turned up many shields in 9 mm and 40 s&w. they had auctions and also buy it now options. They will be more expensive than your local gun store but at least you can get one now instead of 6 months to a year. I used gunbroker to get mine and had no problems.

I looked at the Xds 45 the other day, that thing is unbelievably thin and would make a great CC gun.

I love mine. It is very convenient to carry. The extended mag will make it print more than I like though. So, I use the standard five round mags and carry a back up mag. I will get the 9mm too.

Use the gift card for bullets or an extra magazine for the gun you buy.

I looked online and got a SA XDs for $450 not taxed. $20 FFL and $20 Shipping.

I bought it from SGC USA. Posted link when I caught the sale. Things are likely damned different now thought. Guns are flying off the shelves regardless of price points.

Yes, the Glock style trigger safety and the back strap safety.

It does not have a thumb lever on the side of the slide or a de-cocker.
