As a Bears fan I'm curious. Thoughts on Kromer? Scale of 1-10 how is this hire?

Well, he's probably learned a lot from Payton.

But if his interim head coach stint was any indication, he might be a little clueless.

I think the assumption is now that the new Bears HC will call the plays during games.

Are the bears sure they don't want Carmichael?

Carmichael called the plays when he was HC anyway.

I think Kroemer was on the way out after his terrible stint as interim head coach where he looked clueless on the sideline and the players basically did what they wanted with no consequences.

I'm more than okay he's gone. Probably a good guy, but he really hit it big with an OC gig before Carmichael.

Highest paid Oline coach in the game for a reason.

Not because he is the best O-line coach in the NFL.

Read on twitter ....

Goodell now affecting 2013 Saints, not allowing Payton to have contact w/ team regarding replacing Kromer as OL coach.

Not that big of a deal, but still a dick move. He's the head coach, you could at least let him help decide who will work under him.
