How is Madden 13? Eta: 12 or 13 for online leagu?e

i bought it when it came out. Now I find myself still playing '12. It is not a bad game, but I didn't like the whole XP deal with increasing players stats and not being able to import draft classes freom NCAA killed it for me. It is just a pet peeve of mine but I find that the CPU generated names for the players to be really fake sounding. It took away from the realness for me.

People falling all over the place, tripping over dead bodies is pretty dumb, how could they not realize this crap was happening? Also where are the tattoos on players?!

I hate it honestly. It seems the wide receivers are lazy and the cornerbacks are superstars. Every deep ball seems to be picked off. Also, when running up the middle I either get nailed by a huge DT or run into the back of an OL and fall down Sanchez style.

IMO it's worse than any Madden I've played (relative to the time). It's basically the same game that was "revamped" for a better gaming experience. There are obviously great things about the game, but just like every other Madden product, it's the same nagging BS that makes me want to snap it in half. No more outrageous LB's with 73" verticals. No more CB's with eyes behind their heads. WR's drop open passes too often. Running seems nearly impossible up the middle. After the play I always got a good laugh at everyone falling over each other. Basically, if you play it just for fun, get it. If you get serious with it in the CC or online play, don't. You'll be angrier than usual.

I have a huge issue with this. Especially when your WR beats the corner on a fly route, and you try to just throw it to him without lead passing or anything... All of a sudden the ball is "underthrown" and the corner even though he is trailing jumps up and makes the easy INT.

Mirrored routes are annoying. Attempting to have a running game with the new physics engine is annoying as hell because you cant have a power back to run between the tackles because he "trips" over everything when going up the middle.

Zig Zagging to avoid defenders is fricking stupidly overpowered. You don't lose any acceleration or speed when cutting with the left analog stick. You simply just go left or right and carry on about your way.

honestly, it's so far into the game cycle that information about Madden 14 will be coming out in the next 2-3 months. I wouldn't even purchase madden this year.
