I'm talking about a couple years from now when Mettenberger and Rivers have been drafted to the NFL. Most tiger fans will hate this question, but the sad reality is that there is only one starting job. I've heard great things from both quarterbacks so I don't know what to expect. Rettig or Jennings? Or will Les pull out his infamous two-QB system again?

In my honest opinion, Jennings looks like the best bet. I also think it will be before Rivers is "in the NFL".

and if we get a qb recruit in 2014 every one will predict he will beat out all of those guys. You cant make a prediction without both them even being on campus.

Also i predict only one will rs this year so miles can separate them by a year if they both make it. And that neither will beat out rivers.

Jennings. I feel like Rettig's high school numbers are superinflated because of the offense his high school runs, in addition to the lack of defense played in that league. He also has several interceptions because of the high pass to run ratio.

Jennings looks great, has great pocket awareness, can get out of trouble if he needs to while keeping his eyes downfield, and has a rocket for an arm. Should be great.

Similarly, from what I've read Rettig had receivers with sub-par hands. Point being, his stats could have been even more inflated. It seems like the kid has the arm and head to make the throws.

That being said, it seems like both of them are absolute studs and this is a really fortunate situation for us. Not many teams have the luxury of bringing in two prospects as highly touted as these guys. My personal prediction is that Jennings will get the nod, if only because Les & Co. have shown a marked preference for QBs with the ability to extend a play with their feet if it's needed. I know 247 classifies Jennings as pro-style, but it's obvious kid can run if needed and scout has him listed as having 4.52 speed. Hardly a statue.

At this point we don't know...everyone transitions to college a bit different. I think in 2014 both will have a chance but we really don't know what Rivers has to offer yet. Jennings and Rettig are about what and what if you asked me...If I had to give a slight edge it would be to Jennings because he is a playmaker.
