Seems to be the consensus of the "Callers for change" Excuse me, but didnt we blow leads via inept defense in the waining seconds of both signature losses?

Couldn't scoring more make it where the defense doesn't have to be perfect at the end of every game? Dumbass

Sweet God, this is so stupid!!! The Bama game is what it is, they stepped up and made one more play.
The other 2 games were a direct correlation to our offense going 3 and out consitently and hanging our defense out to dry!! It almost happened in the Auburn and Arky games as well...if you can't see that then you're just completely inept as a fan!!

Take a look at LSU's total offense rank vs total defense rank.

If the offense was worth a shite the defense wouldn't have to be on the field for 45 minutes a game.

Two go hand in hand. Offense failed at the end of both games just as the defense.

In losses to UF and CLemson, LSU had 419 yards of total offense combined.

Against UF 1-13 on third down and a total of 8 first downs

Against Clemson 3-13 and 9

VS Bama, the offense was an anomaly. Best offense of the year but failed to put pts on the board that could have iced the game. Bama game was a totally different offensive effort.

Maybe if we scored more than 17 and 24 points we wouldnt have to worry when the defense makes one mistake or two.

The Alabama game was disheartening, whatever, but scoring 24 on Clemson was embarrassing. They held us to what, 8 or 9 three and outs? That's pathetic. And you want to blame defense?

Bama was a great game. Offense played great and the defense did also. Losing that game isn't shameful.

Clemson- you really going to blame the defense for losing the lead after the offense had 7-8 3 and outs and d played over 100 plays?

UF- offense lost that game

Agreed. My point wasnt to say that our D is the problem. Rather, the judgement rendered by a large portion of our fanbase that blames it all on our offense is a bit narrow/shallow in my opinion

It's easily the vast majority of the problem. The Bama game wasn't normal for our offense.

Both the offense and defense failed at the end of the Bama game.

UF and Clemson games the defense was on the field for 100 plays or more...

Both games could have been won with an average offensive output...

Bama game was 6 yds from running the clock out and taking a knee...

If we had a top 50 offense, Chavis would be much more aggressive IMO.

Offense is absolutely the problem.

What?

I think it is completely acceptable for our fanbase to scream about our offense when we are so damn inept and predictable. Our defense has been the main reason we have had so many winning seasons.

Coaching lost Alabama game, but that is a lost that I can live with. Offense lost the Florida and Clemson game.

Didn't lose the game. It was one of many contributing plays and Clemson executed a perfect play.

You can't win many games picking up less than 250 yds of offense in the modern age. LSU lost two of them this year.
